I posted this in the drilling update in reply to another post, but it belongs in this thread, in case people miss it.
This is buried in the JORC as well (My bold):
"A high-level observation is that the entire Mineral Resource could likely be
extracted from an open pit (45° slope angle) with a worst case waste : ore
stripping ratio of 1:1. Due to this observation the Mineral Resource is
reported to a depth of 475 m below surface as it is reasonable to expect
economic extraction to this depth."
That, in mining terms, is a big a pit of spod.
That's a low stripping ratio (for e.g. PLS: LOM strip ratio of 3.5:1, waste: ore tonnes. Strip ratio over first 5 years 2.87: 1
Think about that when you are comparing size as well.
