I agree with your sentiment. However, as small cap investors/speculators, we don't make the rules. Instead, we play by the rules set down by the powers that be. Trying fight the zeitgeist of the present era is probably not going to be very profitable.
Now that GRL is involved in REEs, it's quite possible that the "ESG BS" will actually work in its favour. Even though our own government seems unwilling to splash the cash, other governments are opening their purses. Oz critical minerals companies can even qualify US government IRA funding once they reach a certain stage of development. So ESG could turn out to be a substantial tailwind for GRL. Better to swim with the current than against it.
To adapt a line from E. K. Hornbeck in Inherit the Wind: ESG may be rancid butter but it's on GRL's side of the bread.
