sinkorswim mmm. not sure that ALL pegmatites in Canada are smaller and spread over a wide area. Case in point the GMM/GXY James Bay resource.
Honestly, I don't feel any special desire to stand up for Canadian mining lol, as I am sure they are doing fine without me. But the more I read the more I see that they have some significant Lithium deposits. My main investments are the larger Australian spodumene lithium plays but its good to know/understand other supply pipelines.
James Bay - The pegmatite outcrops form a discontinuous band or “corridor” approximately four kilometres long and 300 metres wide, cutting the host rock at a low angle and cross-cutting the regional foliation at a high angle. The indicated and inferred resources are 22.2Mt at 1.28% Li2O.
There is also a nice 3-D resource model floating around showing James Bay with multiple stack pegmatites from memory.
Then you had ADV news today indicating one pegmatite is 250m x 300m on surface. This is one Canadian play I am following.
Can you believe that is not snow but one of the small and narrow pegmatites in Canada. I heard they even have summer in Canada!
And blow me down but the project is readily accessible from the paved James Bay Highway. And it seems that James Bay has gently rolling to flat lying topography with much of it covered by muskeg.
