I wonder why they didn't run an XRF over the piles? I know it's not a legit assay method, but in a "proof of concept" drilling campaign it'd at least give an early indication of whether they've found anything interesting.
Which leads to another question... there's plenty of handheld XRFs sitting in exploration offices in West Perth and Subiaco, and it's a relatively short drive out there - what would be the legal implications of someone going for a weekend field trip and buying or selling based on whatever they find out there? I doubt they've rehabilitated it yet.
