    not quite. In most cases (particularly this case) blocking to less than half the drill hole spacing is statistically meaningless. Correct procedure is to estimate to an appropriate block size and then sub-block to smaller sizes to fit the geometry. However the key to these deposits is to map in detail and use that to construct domains that model the lenses and faulting. There are a number of detailed maps of Bulletin but I think it unlikely that these have been digitised, in all the excitement. The result is painting by numbers. I’m particularly concerned that the block model doesn’t honour the complexity of the geology. Just up the road is the Wheel of Fortune pit, which failed for this very reason. And no, the Haoma Bulletin pit iand it’s data is not one of mine. Other fun effects is smearing of gold and cross contamination, which is extreme in this mineralisation. Ya really gots to mine it by eye, which was done at Kitchener.
