You know when someone is having you on and you see through it and you say "yeah, right, mate, pull the other one"?

Well, Steve Norregaard is actually pulling the other one!!

"The Faraday DSO pit is expected to be production-ready in the second half of 2023"

I'm fairly sure that I've heard that line before from SN...

I've come to realise that the "-ready" suffix actually means nothing other than whatever project SN is spruiking about will not be in production or will not be in development in the timeframe he gives. I'm guessing that SN knows that is all that it means but he seems convinced that enough people think it does mean something else so he keeps trotting it out.

I'm not even convinced there is currently a market for DSO at a grade of 0.87% - and as for 0.59%, pull the other one Steve - coming from inland southern WA as I suspect it would be the marginal processors in China that would be buying DSO and they would tend to be pricing at spot. Spot is down heaps from when in October last year Core started selling its 1.4% DSO from just near Darwin Port. And Leo and Gangfeng are looking for some early DSO revenue for their Goulamina project in Africa as a warm up to producing concentrate but they are looking at 1.2% to 1.5% grade material to ship.
