You don't get to say 'over the long run' because everyone has different interpretations of what 'long' is.
Their job is to deliver SH value. First & foremost. because as SH's, it's not simply their company - it's all of ours.
And they achieve this by how they manage the company.
So, if ROI for SH's is sub par, it doesn't matter how well they're running the company.
When you talk about 'misspricing', it seems obvious you're not actually aware why there's currently a 'misspricing'.
