MY suggestion that the total dispute concerned $9m before tax ($6.3m/.7) appears to reconcile with
https://www.businessnews.com.au/article/Brierty-recovers-25m, which put the amount at $9.1m.
The article suggests mediation would take place in February. BYL typically reports on H1 in late February (scheduled for 23/02/2016), so we should be updated on the Main Roads matter about then.
BYL is currently listing the following employment opportunities:
* 13/11/2014 Expressions of Interest Head Office Perth, Other
* 03/12/2015 Civil Project Manager Head Office Perth, Permanent - Full Time
* 11/12/2015 Stabilisation Supervisor New Work Pilbara, Permanent - Full Time
This does not tell us much, other than that BYL is not hiring at the tempo it was hiring a year ago, which I regard as good news. I rather that BYL focus on making fatter margins, rather than expanding turnover, employee numbers and its fleet CAPEX.
