Very pertinent points you make. I have been retired for one year however have also not sold when I should have previously due to tax reasons (my biggest investment by a long way is about to be gobbled up by PLS at bargain basement prices and I availed selling at highs). A bit easier now for me now with less tax impact however I have learnt a good lesson.
