UPDATE DDH1 have now been drilling for 4 weeks at Youanmi.
This is diamond drilling 24/7 under lights with rotating crews.
It is deep drilling so we should not expect assays until next month but it’s also the more exciting drilling.
In particular, the gap between the main lode and Pollard has only been RC drilled to a shallow depth.
This is a Stage 1 growth target.
Rox is hoping for repetitions of the main Youanmi lode.
A discovery here would be transformational and Rox would immediately add multiple rigs to the target.
Nathan Stoitis will watch the DD cores keenly to continue his metallurgy studies.
Meanwhile, Strike is currently adding rigs to ramp up to 5 DD and RC.
Strike is drilling the shallower RC holes, targeting the stopes and known high-grade areas.
These results will add more gold to the mining plan in the DFS due later this year.
The first RC results should be announced in late February.
I’m hoping that Rox will launch an IPO this year to offload Fisher Gold and Eureka.
These non-core assets cost Rox $1m a year (WA mines penalty for not progressing them).
The high price of gold makes Fisher Gold very attractive.
Following the successful Cannon IPO we could do well with free IPO shares.
