Not entirely accurate. There are many methods of getting good grade results for intervals with XRF. There are continuous scan systems for instance or some comanies may channel the metre to homogenise the sample for cheaper pXRF readings. Carnaby have been releasing decent pXRF results as an example as have others. Most economic Cu sulphides are identifiable by a decent geo, xrf will only show elemental concentrations which is helpful but not identify minerals like XRD.
