Whilst there is understandable focus on Nil Desperandum, we should not overlook the potential for the other nearby copper deposits forming the Greater Duchess area, of which ND is only one. To mention several.. Lady Fanny, Burke and Wills, Duchess (mine) and Mt Birnie. The little historical drilling that has been done in more recent decades were showing some very high grade copper intersections at these , in fact very impressive grades, 10% or more, at fairly shallow depths. Also its worth noting that the old timers who did some mining for the most part only mined to shallow depths, sometimes because they encountered excessive water. The copper shoots evidently extended below the depths of accessible mining back in those early1900s. With current mining methods and dewatering practices this becomes a non-issue for us. For all we know there could be multiple Nil Desperandum look a likes in close proximity and the limited IP results so far have already identified some high chargeability zones, of which ND is one. Seems like an lot more IP surveys are coming to cover the area more extensivley and most importantly, point to what may lay deeper than the old -timers could reach and also highlight "blind"shoots that do not reach surface and so were not apparent to the old timers
