Seriously though, you know my views on metallurgy as critical to RE carbonatite economics. The oxide ore has been worked by previous holders with poor recoveries and con, REE has had best in the business Gavin Beer working on it since 2019 and met results just keep getting delayed and delayed.
Big thing now is JT admits oxide met is tough but that primary should be much easier and better. That's probably true, and thus his new focus is selling and drilling for a huge primary resource (aka Exploration Target with a mid-point of 32Mt @ 2% TREO). Cummins is in the middle of nowhere which means high capex/opex... needs to have size, grade and recoveries going for it imo. Thus, if the primary orebody fizzles into too patchy, too small then REE are stuck with the oxide which has some good tonnes/grade in low strip open pit but bangs up against the met problems and a saleable con (or DIY recovery plant and more capex/opex etc). Have not been impressed by JR's grasp or communication of reality so far, so take his thought's on economic prospects with a pinch of salt if that's OK.
