I'm with the Mighty Poodle, and I think DEG is right there with us, viz. their Big spp.
With the treasury more than topped up this gives DEG several immediate advantages. First, DRILL. The list of holes to drill probably long and growing; money spent here will have a huge return. Second, time. A predatory bid for DEG because it didn't have the foresight to spp at a strategic moment, or made a wee spp is not an issue.
It is not inconceivable they could leave 1, 2?, 3! company-making mines on the table. Besides the promise of profits missed their collective DEG egos would take a professional hit. (The gold mining industry is a wee collective of tough mostly guys, but more gals all the time, over too many beers, "Oh, you're the guys that found and sold the Pilbara Super-Duper Pit for chump change.")
