This announcement discusses the actual possibility of not refining the REO initially in a phase 1 approach by allowing to to be sold direct from Greenland given the higher grade recovery. It also mentions Shenghe possibly purchasing a joint venture vehicle but doesn’t elaborate on that.
When it comes to project finance (capex, opex, capital raising etc) this is very significant.
