But I think that the reduction in groundwater abstraction & treatment (from 5 to 3.5 GLpa) would not sustain a higher level of production and the salt at 18Mtpa looks low too. (Are they going to harvest it and put it on a discard pile?)
There again we shouldn't have to wait too long - the DFS is due out by the end of the month and then we can judge for ourselves if they have met their claim that their "DFS to set a new industry standard" which was the title of the slide on Page 21 of their most recent presentation...

Agree with your logic.
You can't increase salt production and decrease fresh water supply? RWD looking at 3.4GL/year fresh water.

I reckon their PFS abstraction rates, trench requirements and pond sizes have all been increased in the DFS to achieve the same output.

This is reflected in increased abstraction and increased disturbance.
