Was it Andrew Goode’s job or position to in public criticise the CEO, I.e. his boss?
What benefit would it have done to Bassari?
In what forum should he have gone public so that the shareholders knew whatever story he had to tell?
From a shareholder point of view what status would he have had in having that story believed?
Did he have any status to do anything useful to Bassari at all?
What benefit would it have been to Mr Goode, to tell whatever story he had to tell publicly, save to get him the sack?
Would it have encouraged other mining CEOs to have given him a senior job in the international mining industry?
Or would it have caused him to have a nasty smell lingering about him in the gold mining industry?
