@ChinaSyndrome So, genuine question, if a properly engineering containment facility is used, as proposed by IXR in the 2021 EISA report, or by PEK for their tailings, at the end of mine life won't every single operation have the same issue with what to do with that potentially unstable Th/U in the containment facility? It doesn't seem to be an issue specific to IXR. Surely IXR are planning to rehabilitate the containment facility in the same manner as would be done for the open pit? In the same way tailings dams containing acid generating sulphides are rehabilitated all across Australia. You would have a better idea than me with your background.
