TRE will be subject to the new mining code, as people say the existing Barrick and B2B mines are under the old code at the moment - note that I am underlining that phrase. There is nothing to stop the junta (or a new junta) in Mali from doing a LLL or FFX to them tomorrow. Absolutely nothing at all. Barrick and B2 would be fully expecting to lose their operations at a moments notice and would not be investing any new capital into their Mali operations and would be harvesting cash from these operations while they still can. The track record is there plain to see, and Mali is an uninvestable jurisdiction for western capital at the moment.

People are welcome to gamble their funds on the Government of Mali if they want too, but they won't be able to say that they weren't warned.
