This is a great result. New oil fairway, close to our Manora platform. Only 5 km away.
We still need to find out if the discovery is commercial and if so recoverable reserves. Doesn’t have to be large given its position.
I went back looking foe a pre drill estimate of possible size but didn’t find one. Still I doubt we would be drilling a wildcat on anything less than 5 Million possible barrels. And given the size of Manora I guess the structure is not likely to be bigger than twenty. Just my guessing no real idea.
Anyway hope this is commercial, that would be a fantastic for a wildcat in a new fairway. That they deepened the hole is a good sign in my opinion. Wonder will they side track?
With oil over $100 this could be a great earner.
So why little interest in TAP?
