"..Contingent well operations (including deepening Malida-1 to test the underlying Oligocene section and possible side- tracking) may be undertaken in the event of success at Malida-1.
Contingent well operations were approved and the
well was deepened to test the underlying Oligocene section.."

In my opinion, I'm happy to have read the news that the well was deepened to test the underlying Oligocene section as well as mention of an indication of the presence of hydrocarbons (still early days) in the primary target.

I'm looking forward to TAP's next announcement on the status of the well once logging operations and the interpretation of the well data is finalised.

I'm surprised as to why traders haven't reacted more positively to Monday's announcement.
