yes, crystallising tax losses is probably best way to gain some value earlier than risking and waiting for the SP recovery.
Note, now I'm retired, tax losses within a super fund are worthless, so I'm backing Ben, Alan and Co. I am lucky enough to have some in Altura AJM * a company structure too.
