I'd like to point out one little item from your comments? Namely the core logic of your understanding is predicated upon the assumption that all people invest purely for capital gains via SP increases. They don't. I'm a long term shareholder and I want the SP to drop, so I can acquire heaps more cheaply. I only invested in Fortescue because I respect Twiggy's efforts to decarbonise a difficult to abate industry, and of course the very generous dividend income Ive enjoyed for many years.

There are 2 classes of shareholder Eddie...traders and investors, you obviously subscribe to the former, and me, the latter. ...."Whatever ever gets ya through the night"( thanks John Lennon!)
