If, as you say, he had a look under the hood and baled, why would he go to a company you think is more likely to go bust - because big bucks dragged him away.

He must have been working on this deal for a while to pop up so soon after announcing his resignation - unscrupulous behaviour ? mercenary ?

So there you go - 20 million shares later, a lot of holders crystallised losses and a lot of predators, after also looking under the hood, swoop in for bargain basement prices.

In the meantime, there is absolutely nothing here that reflects negatively on EQR management other than the glass half empties creating negativity out of nothing and the general market perception whose response resulted in a lot of people losing money for no good reason - waste of bloody time really.

No company wants something like this to happen to them but if a senior appointee behaves as badly as this they cant do a thing about it - they just have to ride out that inevitable negativity and mad panic we have just witnessed - all for nothing.
