Yer bud 100% correct in this professional so called game for BOD member's protocol is resignation's nobody is actually terminated to try to save dignity and respect not the same as ordinary blue collar joe blogg's however saying that i work for a multi national company and most are given the opportunity to resign before termination it would have to be gross miss conduct to be actually sacked without being able to resign first.
