The gold price is definitely your friend, no doubt! Management will be hoping it stays elevated, the untapped lines of credit won't want to be touched!
As you note, so much work is needed to right the ship. This year has turned into a remediation one, not a 'capitalise on all the work we've done over the last couple of years', one! A big change from last year's seemingly confident tone! The gold price is key, as is patience. The December Quarterly Report will reveal plenty. Will the issues have been rectified by 2026, or are there still plenty to finalise that aren't prominent? If I were in the management team I would be spending the cash fast, to try and complete the total list of works that will advance the company (maybe they are, I don't follow the company closely enough!).
Good recoveries and decent grade is being overborne by remediation work all over the place. That ugly word potential looms! The announcement screams, 'Give us time, we have a plan to fix it all and we're on the job of doing so!' But will the variables that are noted in the announcement fall on the positive or negative side of the ledger for the company? As you also note, the gold price will control it all!
