Jackman got away with it as most of the media couldnt be bothered doing the work to see behind the gloss!
reminds me of another rural leader who was awb chairman who ran it into the ground, and now has popped up as canegrowers ceo!
he also was also allowed to write his own departure in glowing terms, but mainly in rural press i think
afr normally a bit better but Pierpont is normally only where the gloves come off! he was a bit pedestrian this new year however as there has been some classic columns where he does the yearly review!
