When is there 'a good time' for anyone to resign, let alone a company CEO?

I simply repeated what was told to me by the broker in January.

The inference was BCI wanted him to stay on for the construction start, which I could understand. Not ideal for an opening ceremony to be held without a CEO.

Announcing this week could be for any number of reasons - it was agreed for this timing, certain tasks need to be completed, assistance with contract negotiations earlier in the year? Who knows?

"There is no suggestion he will be staying on in a non-executive or advisory role which, given the stage the project is at, would have provided some sense of continuity and ongoing commitment on the part of AV to seeing the project through."

I'm sure you read the part of the announcement where it clearly stated AV would be leaving "...by the end of 2022..." to assist "...as part of an orderly transition process." This statement implies mutual agreement. Doesn't sound like a dismissal to me, which is clearly want some on here want, for their own twisted reasons.

How many CEO departure notices have you read where it clearly spells out where they are going next?

AV has had the rock solid backing of Kerry Stokes for many years - initially at IOH and early in the merged BCI, before he left, only to be brought back by KS to sort out BCI's mess.

People here are looking only for the bad in this announcement. I prefer to reserve judgement until I know FACTS and not jump to wild assumptions.
