Prior to joining ASM, Ms Smith was South32’s Chief Sustainability Officer and Vice President Supply,
leading teams across Australia, South Africa, Mozambique, Colombia and the United States.

Great - we have a BHP reject company in S32 and Ms Smith was a Sustainability Officer and worked in Supply. She has no exp getting an operation up and running all of her gigs were established before she got there (rolling out cash). Plenty of buzz for someone that has not stood out in the mining industry (thus a higher risk option in my opinion). I will reserve my judgement based on her performance over the next 18 months. Being an insider she will not need three months to get up to speed - she's up to speed already thus I look forwards to her implementing strategy now that she has the reigns. Having skin in the game means that I want her to be successful.
