She's not really starting out, she has been there for almost 2 years and I wouldn't say she hasn't achieved anything. She has a pretty impressive resume and her remuneration seems to be on par with our peers given her prior work experience.
I would however agree that in general, directors of public companies are paid too much but I don't make the rules.
