Hi All.
i managed to attend. Not many shareholders in the room at all which was made up of many Aurelia staff, management and directors. The mood was very positive throughout. The question of hedging was quickly put right with Martin, again, confident and positive they are managing this issue very closely with just 25% hedged at around $3,800.00. As the results came up on the screen from voting numbers Peter was obviously keen to see his result which got him through for another 3 years as chairman unless he retires. Brian, was very positive giving his presentation but sounded very upbeat on the progress they are making and shareholder value, mentioned many times. Unfortunately for me personally the SP at present is very much below my average price so value for me is a reminder that I should have got out when in the high 50 to mid 60 cents but I was sure, it was going to get to the $1 milestone that so many of us had hoped for.
Overall the meeting was very at ease. Talking with BV afterwards I asked how the Dargues sale was progressing as his name was out there that he is involved in some way on this issue. He noted discussions are still ongoing but they are confident a sale will be forthcoming. Johnathan Thompson was not present, always good for a chat, Peter confirmed ‘Johno’ couldn’t make it. Lyn was as calm as ever and he just confirmed that he is very confident this will become a very good investment decision. The drilling results will be out as soon as information comes at hand. I am hopeful we will not have to wait until the next quarterly announcement in late January…
one investor, didn’t quite catch his name asked about installing Solar as energy costs increase.
once again, I wait patiently for news announcements that will get Aurelia’s SP back to the JS days before his shocking departure.
hopefully at next years AGM, I will be giving out pats on the back!
