Jill said the board was looking for someone with previous CEO experience, and someone with previous oil & gas experience. This guy has never worked in oil & gas. His recent CEO experience is in a mining services company in another country. Previous to that he famously quit his only previous CEO role in Australia at Barmico after being unable to negotiate a major contract renewal. It seems he has no experience in M&A. Certainly no experience in the West Australian gas market. No experience in building a gas plant and no experience in running a gas company. Let's hope he can at least string a sentence together unlike Jill. Handover will probably be Jill teaching him what she's learned about why the peaking plant is a great idea.
