Earlier in this thread GPASAS asked who traded that 1 share at 15 c.
That would be me and I confess it was a bit cheeky, although I would stop short before calling it misleading and deceptive conduct. Anyone can check the trade history and check the volume. Especially with an illiquid stock such as Farm Pride, its all about volume, which is no doubt why you picked this up. So its not really misleading if its all in the open, is it?
I actually placed an order for 16,001 shares with an upper limit of 15 cents. That way I obtained 16,000 shares at 12.5 cents and a single share at 15 cents.
Why did I do it? Because I could- Farm Pride is so illiquid that these kind of price swings are inevitable and so I figured I'd just run with it. I apologise if you feel its misleading.
I did it in part also because I was angry and still fuming at some dodgy trading rules that have seen some of my other trades in Farm Pride not even show up in the market because my broker (Commsec) paired it with another transaction before it even reached the market. Now if you want to talk about misleading and deceptive conduct, I recon that's the issue, when some transactions are not even shown. It means the market is not fully informed. And ironically, the transaction that wasn't shown in the market was very similar to this one, a significant jump. In other words, I paid a premium for the stock, but it never showed up and so nobody else was able to follow my lead at the time.
So this time around I saw an opportunity to correct the past. And it seems like 15 cents is holding, another transaction today for 10,000 units at 15 cents.
Darn, I was hoping to pick up some more shares around 12.5 cents or lower. I never truly expected the 15 cents to hold. But I guess maybe other traders are seeing the value potential that I see in Farm Pride.
