I know what you mean. I knew they shared many of the directors and there were linkages - particularly in WA. However the NAL deal was left field. I don't think anyone knew what was coming.
I only remember bubbles talking about a potential M&A activity back in 2017 but that wasn't specific enough. Maybe SB knew then.
Still - an ecosystem play here would be like winning lotto. Or maybe SYA just got lucky - right place, right time and having the right pre-cursor project with Authier. I would imagine that Quebec and existing creditors will be jumping at the chance to recover their otherwise lost investment.
