Commonsense would say so, but these irrational fanatics who wan't to close down Australia's oil & gas industries, are quite happy, as an interim measure, to help Victoria out by up-ramping LNG imports ... talk about moral flexibility ... same as Germany, who wants the world to overlook its hardline woke climate change policies, and allow it to rely on German lignite coal (the dirtiest, less efficient coal) for the next decade and to overlook the inconvenient facts like the just declared 15yr agreement to import Qatar LNG - the carbon footprint of LNG is minimum x2 piped gas. Also, please overlook Germany's 60million tourist carbon footprint ... and France's 90m and Spains 80m and Italy's 70m ..... give me a break !! The recent COP(out) conference, which is forever inventing new ways to deny the third world the capacity to modernise through industrialisation and urban growth .... by not granting them the right to have cheap abundant electricity from fossil fuels ... see Michael Shellenberger for details.
