Question for the experts. If the desorption rate is very slow, at what point is the exercise considered to be a proper test as to permeability and other parameters eg, hours or days. If after a period of natural desorption do they apply a negative pressure to see if this induces a better result? I would suggest that even the most mediocre sample would desorb, so some sort of elaboration of the result would make the statement that the cores were desorb ing would give a clearer picture.
