There is three sort of investors in spec stocks like this JV.
1. Sheet scared to put more money in.
2. Calculated and prepared to take a risk by investing further.
3. Newbies without any history and are punters.

Number 2 ..those that take the risk when the going gets tough pull all the other shareholders through.

If you buy at market instead of putting more dosh in when it's needed the company folds. Simple as live or die.
