definately changes things when iridium is a mobile solution and the $130 unlimited data compared to $6000 and larger antenae (checked weight 16kg) is necessary info. Thanks again. Cant find that info easily.

Still a handheld inmarsat isatphone and a redport optimizer is a mobile solution that is versatile and does the same as Iridium Go.

Just chatted with a satphone co and they said inmarsat isatphone will not connect to the new global express satellites.
The new inmarsat Global express satelite network will not be for handhelds.
Web site says it uses smaller antennas 60cm than the existing network.
So you are correct about the antenae sizes.
Didnt know that was a factor until you pointed it out.
