Hi Fumoy - I agree that Inmarsat isathub now competes in the same space as GO, but with broad band capabilities.
GO however is still at a cheaper price point, and has first mover advantage. I imagine Iridium has been targeting its big Military and NGO customers to push out some high volume GO orders.
One of my big concerns with WRR is its high R&D investment for potentially short shelf life products - meaning that there is a lot of pressure to ensure that there is an appropriate return on this R&D investment.
Offsetting this to an extent is WRR's diversified revenue offering. GO will make up only about 30% of FY15 sales.
WRR indeed also design and manufacture product for Iridium's major competitor, Inmarsat (see announcement 31/10/14).
