"The report also unearthed the high salary of Raleigh Finlayson, the CEO of small-cap gold explorer Genesis Minerals, who received $24.2 million, which would have placed him second in the CEO pay ranks if Genesis were a top 300 company. Genesis Minerals is capitalised at $470 million.
Mr Finlayson’s pay packet was primarily driven by stock options that were issued when the share price was $0.72 with a strike price of $1.05. The company said the share price more than doubled, causing the options to be revalued significantly higher when reported on a statutory basis. The current share price is around $1.20."
Second highest paid CEO (including options) in Australia was Shemara Wikramanayake at Macquarie. Mike Henry 10th on the list and second highest-paid miner behind Genesis.
