Washington Resources (WRL) was an ASX listed company, reaching back into my memory, it got going in mid-2000s, it had our tenement at Newleyine, LTR's Moora tenement, CZI's Yarawindah tenements, , and the tenements DEV grabbed, (all imo, I have forgotten exactly) but basically they picked the eyes out of the best PGE prospects in the region (CHN's julimar not on the radar at that time!). It was a dedicated PGE explorer. Their geos saw Newleyine as similar to the Finnish-style PGE deposits.
MAN definitely uses info from their old ANNs, the maps of the old drills at Newleyine by Anglo in the 70s for example.
Not really sure what happened to WRL, I don't think they got the drill in the ground much at all. I think it went GFC 2007, then iron ore boom after that, and eventually WRL's Newleyine tenements went to a bunch called Ferrium (?) where the focus completely shifted away from PGEs to Fe (over the Avon river from Newleyine was WA's first ever Fe mine in the 1800s). I couldn't trace it after that but eventually it was Andean Energy's tenement, and they must have been the ones that took the scans in 2016 that Allchurch dug up. Still not even sure what they were looking for, maybe Ni/Cu as per BHP and Anglo were after back in the day...
I will lol if we hit a significant Ni/Cu sulfide deposit after all this jazz about PGEs. Either option we will fly. all imo and not remembering clearly.
