BYH JV partner OMH has a smelter in Sarawak processing Mn Ore to produce various alloys. They (OMH) source High-Grade Mn (~44% Mn) for their smelter from S32's Groote Eylandt so if this supply dries up for a while whilst they sort out the wharf there could be a strong chance of OMH/BYH fast-tracking Bryah Basin into production. Remember also that OMH is funding all expenditure on the Bryah Basin manganese JV as they earn towards 60%/70% equity - so it's a free carry for BYH right now.
BYH/OMH deposits are far better than the E25 10% manganiferous shale and whilst smaller in tonnage, they can easily be beneficiated into a decent product of circa 40% Mn. Unit costs for trucking drop as grade increases so overall economics improve accordingly.
Their Lake Johnston holding is large and very strategic being right next to MIN's Maggie Hays mine so the value of this holding just blew the roof off!
