Last month the Chinese were really cranking up the battery production, so they might be eating into that stockpile quite quickly. The latest information on the linked website suggests BEV sales growth numbers in China are slowing (the whole of the car market is), but the Chinese EV manufacturers are focussing their attention on overseas vehicle markets so the decline in battery demand for China vehicles may be offset a bit by greater sales overseas.
