Can't speak for Kiwi but the lithium bull market has only just begun, IMHO. Why? Primarily EVs and energy storage systems. The demand for lithium has only scratched the surface. So, so many BEV models being released in the next few years. Waiting lists extending > 12 months for some models. In Oz even a Tesla Model 3 from China has a wait time of 14-20 weeks. You can't even order some of their other models any more. The demand for EVs is real.

No matter what future battery tech is coming, lithium is going to be the 'it' metal for the next several years as all these gigafactories come online. Predictions of a “Perpetual Deficit” is not really correct, but it will take 10-15 years before we see any significant recycling of today's LIBs. White gold. I like the yellow stuff as well, it just doesn't seem to like me at the moment.
