Ann: Manufacture of ATC product for NPS completed successfully, page-2

There's been a bit of a move back and forth but I'm a little surprised this announcement hasn't led to a higher price. The Named Patient Scheme doesn't just mean AVX can supply ATC to patients who were on earlier trials. It allows AVX to recoup costs (which can include more than just the manufacture of the drug....) and it allows doctors to nominate their patients as suitable for treatment with ATC. It will definitely bring in more money to the company,giving it more time to allow other strategies to deliver. Obviously it is not the same as ATC being approved by the FDA (although that will come too...), but its a lot better than having the drug sitting there in a cold room waiting for a coal boom. It may very well give doctors in this field a chance to vote for ATC and for their colleagues to become more aware of ATC through its use in treating suitable patients.
