This announcement confirms 1.462 mill oz of proved reserves of silver at Manuka, more than enough to keep the ball mill working for a few months while they review and re-estimate the balance of the resource (previously announced by Cobar Resources as 60 mill oz across the rest of the mining lease and other exploration tenements).

Is it good to read that the first silver will be produced this month, as this is the first indication that the new equipment and plant improvements have progressed to operational. There's had to be a lot of reading between the lines, as they have been light on for announcements. Such a shame for a start up miner, when they ought to be shouting form the rooftops at their success. Part of their role in a public company is to keep the market informed of progress and they seem reluctant to do this for some reason - perhaps it's a case of all hands on deck getting this up and running, meaning marketing is a low priority.

Anyway, let's keep fingers crossed that the improvements lead to a profitable project and long-suffering shareholders start to see some reward for their loyalty.
