    dxy looks poised to breakdown but its really not a PM driver at this point - its much more about inflation - negative real yields and risk/fiat dilution perceptions

    go back and have a look at 2002-2008

    historically DXY kills PMs during the 'bull' USD macro phase - but once that is over, and its over - there are often periods where USD gold price rises even when USD is rising in a countertrend rally - despite the big USD trend being down

    the key is the downtrend - not the pivots

    USD is more like a gravity well than a daily pivot - basically its negative gravity for PMs for ~10 years then reverses and becomes a tailwind for ~10years
