I presume the experts aren't just going to give a thumbs up/down to the bid and will provide depth, reasoning and insight into their recommendation. Further, through doing their due diligence, they may come up with a revised counter-offer which they perceive as beneficial/fair for the company and shareholders including backing reasons which can be used in further negotiations with MAQ or other potential interested parties.
An independent external third party is best to advise on the takeover offer as they are unbiased and have no vested interest. The board, shareholders etc are all biased due to their involvement in the company.
Regardless of the recommendation from the 'experts', the current bid will likely be refused by substantial shareholders who have publicly said they will not be taking the offer. I think most would agree that current offer would be highly beneficial for MAQ given the synergies they could attain integrating BPF into their business.
I believe MAQ will up their offer, if I was to guess I'd say .15.
I presume the experts aren't just going to give a thumbs up/down...
