Overview
KIPOI copper project is located in the copper rich Katanga province of the DRC,approximately 75km North West of the town of Lubumbashi.
The first phase of the Kipoi project has been designed to process approximately 3.5Mtpa of copper-bearing ore and to produce 25 000Ktpa of LME Grade A copper cathode.
SENET was awarded the LSTK contract for the design, construction and commissioning of the process plant and its related support infrastructure.
The process route was defined by experienced SENET process engineers in conjunction with MMS, a specialist Australian consultancy with many years of Solvent Extraction and Electrowinning experience.
The plant design and layout were developed by SENET engineers and designers, and comprise the civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation aspects of the project.
In addition, SENET was wholly responsible for the construction, logistics and management of the project.
