Yes, the short term cash situation is dire. Some big decisions are going to have to be made.
The way I see it, there is the saving grace that the lenders have so much skin in the game that there is simply no other option other than to ride it out. Unless another HC poster can see another way out for lenders, I just can't see what other options there are. They are in it thick like us poor sods.
In basic terms, if I lend $1000 to my neighbour to get a return on my money as they need it to get some minerals out of their backyard, I'd rather wait until they bought a new shovel rather than choose to never see my $1000 back.
